Anghami (Arabic: أنغامي) is the first legal music streaming platform in the Middle East and North Africa, giving more than 70 million users access to over 57 million Arabic and International songs to stream and download, in addition to around one hundred thousand Arabic and International podcasts. Co-founded by Elie Habib and Eddy Maroun, the service was launched in November 2012 in Beirut, Lebanon.
In 2021, Anghami relocated its headquarters to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) as part of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and supported by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). The company also has offices in Beirut, Dubai, Cairo and Riyadh, with more than 120 employees.
In March 2021, Anghami announced its merge with Vistas Media Acquisition Company Inc. to become the first Arab technology company to be listed on NASDAQ New York. Read more about it right here.
Anghami has licensing agreements with major international and Arabic music labels, in addition to thousands of independent labels and distributors to provide users with legal access to a vast catalog of licensed music. Since the day it was launched, Anghami was meant to serve as an alternative to music piracy.
With more than 36 telecom partners across MENA, the company aims to boost free acquisitions and facilitate subscriptions. It is available on iOS, Android, Web and other car and home devices.

Anghami is a freemium service that allows users to play millions of international and arabic songs for free. As for paid users who subscribe to Anghami Plus, they are granted access to an array of features that allow them to download songs, play music offline, view lyrics, rewind, scrub, and repeat all the music they want. Anghami Plus perks also include the ability to play music in a high audio quality, use the platform on Playstation, Sonos, Carplay, Android Auto, Apple TV, Smart TV, and Android TV. Free users are monetized with advertising, a feature not available on the paid tier, Anghami Plus.
